Modern Greenery Baby Shower

We welcomed baby Nehemiah with a modern greenery themed baby shower. The celebration was held in our apartment home, where we entertained family and close friends.

We wanted to keep our celebration simple and fun. We concentrated on what our family and close friends would love most... good food! I wanted to keep the food light and yummy to encourage mingling and socializing amongst our guests. So I created a grazing table. Yes, I created, lol. I was nine months pregnant and weirdly controlling. I had a vision full of great finger food, rich in color and vitamins.

“If you really want to make a friend, go to someone’s house and eat with him… the people who give you their food give you their heart.” - Cesar Chavez

We turned our patio into an outdoor dining area.

The dessert featured my favorite prenancy  sweet treat cravings. Peach cobbler shooters, mini lemon tarts, mini fresh fruit tarts, white chocolate dipped cereal treats and vanilla cake with caramel drip! The desserts were displayed on my vintage record player cabinet, where I house my father's record collection. I lost my father to heart failure in 2012, but he was definitely there in spirit.

Tina Li of In The Cloud Events created my green-tastic balloon arch as well as set up and provided the greenery tassel garland.

I had two versions of my invitation.  A green version and a purple version. I couldn't decide which color to go with. So I used both, different colors for different guests.

We were so filled with the love we received from family and close friends.
